Pioneer Village School welcomes academic scholarship applications from prospective students. Admission into our Scholarship Program is determined through academic testing in combination with an enrolment interview with the Principal and in accordance with placement availability in the specific year groups.
Scholarships will be awarded for the duration of the student’s attendance at Pioneer Village School and will cover fifty percent of tuition fees.
Students’ academic achievement and general ability are assessed by the use of standardised on-line tests. Testing takes place at the start of Term 4 preceding the year in which a scholarship commences and takes place on set days. If a candidate is unable to attend they are unable to be considered for a scholarship.
Applicants are required to provide the following on the day of testing:
Successful test applicants and their parents will participate in an interview with the Principal. The student’s performance and behaviour at their previous school, the parent’s support for the previous school, and ongoing commitment to Pioneer Village School are some factors that will also be considered for admission and continuity of the Scholarship.
All applicants will be notified by mail regarding the outcome of their application and they will receive a report detailing their academic standing. Applicants will have a period of five days from the dated letter of offer to accept or decline the Scholarship. Pioneer Village School reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship at any time should the need arise.
