Waste Sorted Incursion
We were excited to receive our new sign which recognises that Pioneer Village School has now been an accredited Waste Sorted School for 10 years. We would like to thank the parents, students, and local community for the support throughout the years. PVS were fortunate to be able to invite educators from Waste Sorted to help continue our efforts on our waste and recycling journey. Students enjoyed learning about these sustainable practises by taking part in recycling relay races and learning more about how to recycle.
CREEC Outdoor Excursion
The Year 3/4 classes went on an excursion to the Canning River Eco Education Centre as part of their study of biology. Located on the banks of the Canning River, the Centre aims to raise awareness and create positive action to sustain healthy waterways and the surrounding natural environment. Students observed a variety of wetland birds, insects, and plants and discussed environmental conservation, whilst enjoying a beautiful hike through the wilderness. The Year 3’s and 4’s had a great time and learned a lot!
