We offer pastoral support through an on-site social worker.
The safety and positive health and wellbeing of all students is the foundation upon which students have the opportunity to achieve their potential. The development of each student is seen as a whole and social-emotional wellbeing is as important as academic learning and physical health when considering the pre-requisites for a motivated and positive learner.
Perth Hills Speech Pathology offers a mobile service and will conduct sessions at Pioneer Village School. We see children who are having difficulty with speaking clearly, with expressing their ideas and understanding what is being said to them.
At Pioneer Village School we are very aware that children who fail to acquire adequate reading skills are at risk for increased difficulties such as poor educational outcomes, a dislike of school, frustration, low self-esteem, and behavioural issues.
Pioneer Village School respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land as being the first peoples of this country. We embrace the vast Aboriginal cultural diversity throughout Western Australia and recognise their continuing connection to country, water and sky. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
